Happy Halloween.... A Month Early...

Anyway, so Halloween is only one month away... I'm sure all the Satan worshipers are all excited. Good for them.

I don't dress up and go trick or treating.  That's way to immature for my taste. I mean come on, I'm 16 years old. Who does that?
Actually I know some people who probably do still go trick or treating. Whatever.

Hopefully our youth group has some kind of activity going on. That'd be alright. But! I'm still not dressing up. I'm not a baby. I do like candy though...

German Swiss, And Proud Of It! Oh And I Heart Lebanon!

Here's to all you German people and Swiss people! That's my Dad's side of the family. My Mom's side is a little bit of Native American, some French, and some Pennsylvania Dutch. I guess you could call me a Heinz 57. 

Basically, I come from all over the world, which means that I am very intrigued by all different types of cultures. There is one culture I am very interested in at the moment. I had a friend named Jad from Lebanon, he is our foreign exchange student this year, and he is really cool! He is a Muslim and I am a Christian, so I always like to hear his perspective on things in class, what his culture believes, and stuff like that. He is really interesting!

I am taking a Social Issues class at the moment, so we talk a lot about touchy subjects, like race and religion. It's really a wonderful experience to be able to open your mind to a different point of view. We actually watched The Office today, and the episode was called Diversity Day. You'd have to have watched it to understand why it ties in with Social Issues.

 

Bugs... Ew.

So today I was in SSR reading, when my friend walks in, and she tells me theres a bug on my shoulder. I didn't believe her at first, but then I turned my head and... Well it was really embarrassing first off because I said, "Oh my God, oh my God, Oh my God!" I then proceeded to get up and scream and make a scene and everyone laughed at me. By that point the bug was on the ground, and all of my class mates were saying, "Don't kill it!"
So I said really loud, "It deserves to die!" Then I squished it.

Bugs obviously don't understand personal space like humans do. It touched me, and it was headed for my hair! I was offended by it even thinking it could touch me, and I there after went ahead and killed it. People know not to touch me unless I know they're playing around. Bugs.... well hopefully that bug learned his lesson.

I've been scared the rest of the day. I can't wait to take a shower and make sure they are all off of me.

Lindsay Lohan

 I do believe that whatever problems she does have, she is never going to get past them until she has a motive. I'm not bashing her, I am simply talking about human behaviors in general, and she is a fine example for this. People don't normally do something unless they have a motive, and the strange thing about Lindsay's case is, I think she is comfortable where she is at. I know that sounds bad, but I'm really just trying to explain that there are plenty of other people who are the same way. It's a human thing, guys! Lindsay is a very good actress and I admire her work very much, but I'm saying that I don't think she has hit rock bottom yet.

Lindsay, I wish you well and I hope you get better soon.

Hmm...

So apparently I'm not very interesting because some of my friends won't talk to me as much as they talk to their other friends... I actually believe I am very interesting, if you give me something to talk about! I'm not a very good conversation starter, but once I get into a conversation I am VERY interesting!

Well, now that I've got that off of my chest, I had a very wonderful day at school until I had to go to sixth hour and look at Jeremiah. That ruined it for me. I know that sounds very rude, but that's how it feels when you get turned down by a freshman!

I'm just ranting tonight aren't I? I know I shouldn't let things get the best of me, but you know what? I'M GOING TO! I started my online Biology I class today. I have Bobbie Mckinnon in my class. She's a doll. :]

Online classes are so much less stressful than a normal class because you don't get all the repulsive people who make a bunch of noise and who are immature. Why you don't get them I don't know, but its a lot more relaxed in the room.

Satan is very evil, he is the father of lies, lying is his native tongue! Here is something I'm not afraid to say, Satan is a LOSER. He tells me very depressing things about myself every day, and I have to fight not to believe them. So to all the Satan followers out there.... How do I say this nicely.... He's not some cool dude okay?!? He is eventually going to ruin your life!

Jesus on the other hand is LOVE and ENCOURAGEMENT! Please if you read this today, I challenge you to become a follower of Christ! He is the truth, the light, and the way!!! GO JESUS!

Daily Food Intake Post

So far today I've eaten a bowl of cereal with fat free milk, one lemon iced short bread cookie, and a bowl of soup with oyster crackers. The cereal really didn't hold me over until lunch very well, but I'm still full from the soup. I refer to my diet as the soup diet. If I could I'd eat soup all day except for breakfast! Of course when I go to school, I have to eat the food there. Sometimes that isn't the healthiest thing to eat.

I think that school lunches should be quality food, not yucky food that you gag on when you eat it.

Baseball.

My favorite team is the Detroit Tigers. I've been to a few games in my life, home and away, and every time I go to see them, they win! Someone said to me once that I must be their good luck charm. I might be....

My favorite player is Will Rhymes! He's so good-looking! <3
I love baseball. My History teacher says that only intelligent people can understand the game. Of course, I am a very intelligent person, so I do understand the game of baseball. I like to go see the West Michigan Whitecaps too.

My parents and I are watching the game on T.V.  today....

Homosexuality: Inherited or Choice?

In my Social Issues class at school, we had an activity where someone would draw a random character trait out of a basket, and they would either act it out or draw it on the board. One of the topics was homosexuality.

I don't have a problem with gay people! I actually think many of them are rather nice and caring individuals, BUT I do believe homosexuality is a choice. Sometimes it really isn't a choice. If you get molested by someone of the same sex, from then one you might be attracted to that sex for the rest of your life.

I've never met a gay person who believes that the way they feel is a choice, so most of the time I have to agree to disagree with them. Of course, being a Christian, we believe that homosexuality is sin. I believe in a little idea that says hate the sin, not the sinner.

SO, to all you people out there who are homosexual, I want to extend an arm of love out to you, especially if you hate Christians because they have put you down and treated you badly. I will apologize for the haters that have put you down, because I want to lift you up and encourage you!

Call My Name...

Church. I didn't go this morning, not because I didn't want to, or because I don't like church, just because I have a hard time waking up on Sunday mornings. I feel bad about it because I know my spirit is starving and I need to feed it. So today I'm going to try to read my bible for a while, that way I can make up for it.

On another note, I'm having Campbell's Select Harvest Italian Wedding Soup for lunch. It's going to be tasty. =)
I hope God's not mad at me. I don't think he is but some people might argue about it.

I haven't had any more followers. I don't know what makes people follow a blogger so...
Maybe I just need to talk about more controversial things. I really don't have a lot of opinions that I would like to express. Maybe Sam can give me some ideas! I hope he/she comments sometime. I don't have any comments at all... I'm going to try something controversial in my next post.

GIMP 2 Review

Okay, I think I need to take some digital graphics classes because I don't have a clue how to use a program like this. I know what I want to turn the picture into, I just don't know how to create brushes to get it to look the way I want. I've downloaded brushes that were already made, but all of the ones I like and need are for photo shop.

Here is a picture I made last night, it took me a very long time to figure out how to use everything:

What is wrong with this is the lines are horizontal, not diagonal. Also the corner's are supposed to be rounded, but I couldn't figure that out either. All of this stuff is probably very very simple, but there aren't a lot of specifics about making certain things.  Another problem is there are directions online about how to make things, and they tell you where to go to find them, but when you look for them in the place they are supposed to be, they aren't there.

I would probably love this program if I could figure out how to use it properly.

Fridays Are For.... Rejoicing!

My weight is down to its lowest point since I've started this whole thing. I haven't really been trying too hard to lose weight either. I'm just being conscious of portion sizes. I guess it's working..
The other reason why Fridays are wonderful is it's the weekend, and I don't have to go to school for two days.
Other than that, God made today and let me live it, so hooray.

This kid name Joe in my history class was being a creeper to me today. He wasn't being mean, he was just being kind of dirty. I'm getting the paper work for my online class on Monday. I can't wait to get out of at least one of my classes that Jeremiah is in. He wasn't in history today. Thank God.

My mom is on the phone with someone who wants to talk to me..... it's driving me crazy because she won't tell me who it is and it's driving me crazy!!!!

I'm actually getting a little bit better, thank God. I got to meet a famous Super Bowl Champion today. He came to my school and spoke. I cheered when he said he was a son of the King. I love Jesus.

Anyway, I've given up on Jeremiah. If you like a girl, you have to tell her before it's too late. Well, guess what? Time's up! I don't compare with other girls, and I'm not going to compete with them. I just wish someone would love me for me.

My favorite NFL team is the Saints.

I put GaGa back on my playlist today, I finally got the nerve to leave the church that told me it was wrong to listen to her.

T-Storms and Followers

Okay, it's thunder storming. I have one new follower! Here's a shout out to Sam! Thanks for making me feel worthy to be followed. I really love the sound of thunder storms, it's so calming and it makes me wonder what's happening up there in the heavens..

It's probably Jesus laying His holy wrath into Satan's sorry hind end! Tee he. That makes me smile.
You know what makes me really angry? Book banning. Yes of course I'm talking about the movement Speak Loudly. If you don't want your child to read a book, FINE. Don't ruin it for the little girl's out there who need to find their voice after being a victim of rape, or anything for that matter.

Of course, I've never read the book Speak, but it is definitely on my to-read-list. I do not have a problem finding my voice, especially when something is near and dear to my heart.

I'm still sick with the cold and flu type stuff. I'm not enjoying it but I am sleeping better for some reason, maybe it's because of the cold pills.

Tasty Nutrition

Okay, so, tonight I had Campbell's Chunky Soup for dinner, and it was delicious! I've never tasted anything so tasty, and I've discovered that it is actually very nutritious. I had Creamy Chicken and Dumplings tonight, and the other night I had Bacon Cheddar Baked Potato. I haven't tried any of the other kinds yet, but I noticed something on top of the can. It had the NFL logo on it! I remember seeing the commercials with football players on them, but I guess I didn't put two and two together.

Jeremiah Is... Very Bubbly Making.

Okay, so I'm totally crushing on this boy at school. His name is Jeremiah.
He's really nice, and we have a lot in common. We both like History, we have the same music interests.
The only BOGUS thing is he has another girl, who isn't his girlfriend, that has all his attention.
I've asked him out, and he told me no because, "I don't know you very well."
I'm not giving up though. Even if she starts dating him next, she will break up with him after a week.

So I'm starting to talk in Pretties speak. The words "bubbly" and "bogus" are becoming a regular part of my vocabulary. I want to use the word "ardent" in class tomorrow because if I do, I'll get bonus points!!

Sore Throat = Bogus

Woke up this morning, and my first thought was, "Ouch...". My nose is now starting to stuff up, so now I know I'm getting sick. What a wonderful life we live in, where they almost have a cure for cancer, but they can't find a cure for a SORE THROAT! I'm talking an instant cure, not something that will wear off in time....

If I was into science, maybe I would pursue this cure, but I'm pretty sure a sore throat comes from a virus. Which means there is no cure, but still! Something for NO MORE SORE THROATS would be nice.

I'm reading Scott Westerfeld's book Pretties, which is the second book in the Uglies series. In the story they have a cure for these kinds of things. Maybe some day in the future we actually will have a cure...

Weird, Hair-related Revelations.

Once upon a time (last night), I had a strange revelation! My mother had dyed my hair black, with fire orange, blonde, and bleach blonde in a spot in my bangs. When I woke up, however I realized that the colors in my hair resembled those in Hayley Williams hair, from Paramore. It's quite odd actually. Here's a pic to show you the colors except for black:

It was so strange in my dream, that I begged my mother to cut off all of my hair, in the dream, because I couldn't go to school like that or I would get thrown out and laughed at.

I love Paramore and Hayley Williams has awesome hair, so in real life, I would love to have hair like in this picture. BUT I really am not allowed to come to school with my hair like that, SOOOOO I shall not.

I'm rooting for Paramore as my favorite secular band, and Flyleaf for my favorite Christian band.

I took the second picture today.
There's not much of a big difference in the pictures, but I've lost five inches off of the narrowest part of my waist!!! I've only lost a few pounds though. =)

Koran Burning = RIDICULOUS

So this week on the news there has been a MINISTER who is advertising a get together today to burn the Islamic holy book. This makes me really mad because Muslims and Christians have always had a history of fighting, and this is just going to make it WORSE! I am a Christian, and I believe in loving everyone, even if they don't agree with my religion. I know I would never ever burn someone else's holy book! THAT is DESPICABLE. End of story.

My Relationship With My Computer is.....Complicated.

Well today I finally figured out what was wrong with this stupid IBM Think Pad. I had to restore the system... the darned thing wouldn't finish acquiring the network address to connect to the wireless internet in my house! I was mad.

Also I'm reading Scott Westerfeld's Uglies. I'm enjoying it so far.
